Early registration fees must be postmarked or confirmed with online payment by 5:00 pm CST on  June 15, 2018 (Just extended!). International Discounts apply for early bird registrations only. All payments must be in US funds.

How to Register

Pre-registration is required for the full conference and pre-conference workshops.  All concurrent sessions taking place on Friday and Saturday do not require pre-selection.  Sessions are on a first come first serve basis on the day of the session.

DONA International members and/or those that have a previously established DONA.com login, register using your login credentials. After logging in, you’ll see a link for “DONA International Annual Conference.”

If you are not already affiliated with DONA International, please create a record. Then, you’ll be able to select “DONA International Annual Conference.”

Lastly, you can also register via mail or fax. For paper registration please contact [email protected].

In-Person Conference Registration Includes

  • The special pre-conference Welcome Reception on Thursday, July 19, 2018
  • The core conference beginning the evening of Thursday, July 19, 2018 and ending Saturday, July 21, 2018
  • Ability to earn 15 contact hours for recertification
  • Admission to the Exhibit Hall
  • Opportunities to network and connect with doulas, educators, speakers, and others
  • Some meals to include breakfast (Friday and Saturday) and lunch (Friday and Saturday)

Virtual Conference Registration Includes

  • Access to the live one-day virtual conference on Saturday, August 4, 2018, with on-demand viewing for 90 days
  • Ability to earn 8 contact hours
  • Interactive chat during the sessions with participants, DONA International leaders, and speakers (as available)
  • Admission to the virtual Exhibit Hall
  • Access to the virtual sessions for 90 days after the conference

Cancellations and Refund Requests

All refund requests must be submitted in writing, postmarked by July 5, 2018 to the DONA International Home Office, 35 East Wacker Drive, Suite 850, Chicago, IL 60601.

A non-refundable processing fee of $100 (US funds) will be retained in all cases for each conference fee refund request. After July 5, 2018 you may transfer your registration to a substitute attendee, but you must notify the DONA International home office by calling 1-888-788- DONA (3662) or emailing [email protected]

Doula Spirit Fund Scholarships

The doula spirit fund was established many years ago to offer sponsorships for doulas with financial need to help with the expenses of attending our annual conference. People from around the world contribute to this important fund in small and large amounts.  Registrants can offer a contribution as part of their registration, and others can contact [email protected] to contribute directly to the fund.

Continuing Education

The DONA International Summit is one way we continue to provide the highest standard of evidenced-based training and education to our members. The core conference qualifies as formal continuing education for doula recertification and trainer reapproval with DONA International as well as most other childbirth certification organizations. For 2018, the core conference is the in-person event in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl and will satisfy the minimum number of contact hours required for re-certification.  Attendance at the virtual-only conference qualifies for up to eight contact hours, but does not meet full recertification requirements.

Lamaze International, International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) and most other childbirth certification organizations accept DONA International contact hours for continuing education. However, it is the individual registrant’s responsibility to ascertain whether this offering meets the requirements of their certifying organization. The registrant must attend a session in its entirety to receive continuing education credit for that session.

Breastfeeding Babies

Breastfeeding babies up to six (6) months of age (in arms or slings only, no strollers) who remain quiet may accompany a conference registrant at sessions, at meals and in the Exhibit Hall. A comfortable breastfeeding room will also be available for nursing mothers.

Volunteers Invited

Help make this conference a success! Indicate your interest in joining our summit volunteer team on the registration form. Volunteers will not miss meals or sessions.

Exhibits and Silent Auction

Be sure to visit the Exhibit Hall often to take advantage of the products and services being offered. Place your bids for Silent Auction items.

Recordings

Video and/or audio recording of any session is strictly prohibited. Professional audio recordings of most sessions will be available for sale on-site after the conference. Your attendance at this conference indicates your willingness to be photographed, filmed or recorded.

Social Media

We are excited for live tweeting, Instagramming, Facebook posting and other social media activities with #DONA18. Remember, the goal is to provide a snippet or flavor of the session and not be a virtual session. We kindly ask that you keep this in mind as you post.

Change in Program

DONA International reserves the right to substitute or cancel speakers and/or sessions.
