Doulas and Data: Leveraging Evaluation to Demonstrate Impact

Doulas play a crucial role in promoting positive perinatal health outcomes and care experiences. As the political and philanthropic landscape continues to evolve, it will be important for community-based doulas, especially those who have long-standing stake in their communities, to be equipped with data to demonstrate their reach and impact.

In this session, Dr. Kyrah Brown will discuss practical strategies that doulas can adopt to integrate data monitoring and evaluation into their work, discuss principles/values-driven data monitoring and evaluation, and describe case examples of ‘doula-academic’ partnerships formed to increase doulas’ capacity to not only demonstrate impact but promote continuous learning and improvement.
