Supporting growing families can encompass: family law, employment law, business law, health law, contract law, immigration law, and wills/trusts, but how much do you really know about these areas? Whether you’re a new doula or have been practicing for years, chances are you’re not taking advantage of all the legal assistance you should be. This session will explore the many different ways lawyers can be valuable allies for you and your clients. (Hint: you may be missing out on an excellent referral source for clients if you’re not networking with certain lawyers!)

Recognizing that financial barriers to legal aid can exist, this session will also highlight practical, affordable ways for you and your clients to access legal resources. By the time this session is done, you’ll be ready to take your doula practice to the next level with a plan for how you and your clients can thrive with legal assistance.
