You hear the term implicit, but what does that really mean? What does it look like? How does it feel? At the end of this session, you’ll be able to answer those questions as well as begin to recognize implicit bias in yourself and others. We know that bias and racism places families of color and marginalized communities at greater risk of death and poorer outcomes. Let’s take a deeper dive into navigating implicit bias, in the moment, for the benefit of birthing and postpartum families. Doing this personal work can be your direct contribution towards combatting the inequity in higher mortality rates.
