Danielle Madrigal

Danielle is a retired banking executive and a fulltime birth and postpartum doula. Her 20+ years’ experience in global finance and corporate management lends a unique blend of skills to her doula work. These include strong advocacy, exceptional communication and organizational abilities, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while navigating steep learning curves and complex power dynamics and systemic issues.

In leadership roles at two of the world’s largest banks, Danielle led teams in AI Strategy and Governance, Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, and Risk and Regulator Management. She holds a BA in Political Science and an MBA in Strategy from Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada. She has a Certificate in AI for Decision Making from Wharton, is an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and earned a Certificate from Google for AI Essentials.

Danielle is a DONA-certified birth and postpartum doula, and a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach. She began working with families as a nanny and doula in Canada 25 years ago. Her personal journey of faith has imparted her calm and compassionate presence, enabling her to bring joy and be a blessing as she supports her clients in their perinatal journeys.

Danielle is committed to contributing to the growth and recognition of the doula profession, improving birth outcomes in her local community, and believes that every birthing person deserves access to compassionate and supportive care. Danielle lives in New York City with her husband where her doula practice thirdandfourth.com is based. She is a member of the New York Coalition for Doula Access and DONA International. She also serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council at her alma mater.
