Kristin Stinavage PCD(DONA), Chef

Kristin Rose Stinavage is a postpartum doula, chef, and advocate for culturally responsive care during the transformative postpartum period. With a degree in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America and a background in Hospitality Management from Cornell University, Kristin brings over 20 years of culinary expertise to her work with new families. Her passion for postpartum care was sparked after reading The First Forty Days: The Essential Art of Nourishing a New Mother, and she has since dedicated herself to supporting families through the healing power of food.
As the founder of Nurtured Feast, Kristin provides personalized, in-home postpartum care with a “food as medicine” approach. Her meals are tailored to the individual needs, traditions, and dietary considerations of each family, prioritizing nutrient-dense ingredients that aid recovery, support lactation, and promote emotional well-being. Drawing on global postpartum traditions, she helps families reconnect with the wisdom of healing foods while respecting cultural practices.
Kristin’s commitment to equity and inclusivity is central to her work. She continually seeks to dismantle biases within perinatal care by educating herself, supporting BIPOC-led initiatives, and advocating for accessible, culturally attuned postpartum resources. She is DONA-trained, CPR-certified, and a lifelong learner dedicated to uplifting all families through compassionate, nourishing care.
When she’s not preparing postpartum meals or supporting new parents, Kristin can be found running local trails, exploring Seattle’s farmers’ markets, or recreating her favorite international dishes at home. She is thrilled at the opportunity to share her knowledge and tools with the DONA community and empower doulas to integrate meal planning into their postpartum care practices.
