Mary Peralta, CD(DONA), 500 HR RYT, 85 HR RPYT, Certified Yoga Nidra Teacher, Practicing Sound Healer, Master Reiki Practitioner, and MBA.
She is as gentle as the sunrise.
Her teaching style is centered in the “Now”. She teaches all styles of yoga to people of all ages, with an emphasis on Prenatal Yoga and Yoga Nidra.
Her personal practice is informed by her love of the breath and the way that yoga helps truly connect us with our bodies. Since receiving her certification, she has continued to study with her inspiring teachers, Cassandra Bright and Lanita England, Jen Wheeler-Smith, Dani Peterson, Heather Promise, and Will Zecco.
Mary started her yoga journey in 2005 and began teaching in 2017. It was in her 200 Hour Yoga Certification where she learned Prenatal Yoga. This practice introduced her to Doulas, Midwifery, Placenta Encapsulation – all which she had not heard about when she birthed her two daughters many years ago. Further research landed her enrolled in the DONA International Birth and Postpartum Doula Trainings, and more.
She works full-time in finance/accounting for a major manufacturing firm where she supports a global partnership. Mary is a Certified Birth Doula and Postpartum Doula Candidate. She teaches Yoga at Gilbert Yoga in Arizona and is their Lead Prenatal Yoga Teacher. Mary enjoys assisting people with living a healthier lifestyle through healthier eating with Epicure. She is a lifetime volunteer with the Girl Scout Organization (as a Facilitator to Leaders and girls- specializing in Outdoor Programming- hiking, backpacking, archery, etc.), the Phoenix Zoo (at various events and in horticulture), and Valley Women for Women (teaching Prenatal Yoga and sharing what a Birth and Postpartum Doula is). Through her extensive practice and training, she has learned so much, and looks forward to every opportunity to give back.
“NOW – is always a good time to start practicing Yoga!” ~ Mary Peralta
