PreCon Track A: Ethical Dilemmas in Doula Work: Navigating Challenging Situations
Ethical dilemmas are an inevitable part of doula work, requiring both professional and business integrity. This session is designed to equip doulas with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate complex ethical situations while upholding their personal and professional values. We will explore common dilemmas such as responding to discriminatory or prejudiced remarks made by someone associated with the client or the client themselves. We’ll also discuss handling conflicts of interest, maintaining professional boundaries, and making ethical business decisions. Participants will gain insights into ethical frameworks, decision-making tools, and strategies for managing these scenarios through group discussions centered on real-life case studies.
Our goal is to cultivate a supportive environment where doulas can exchange experiences, seek advice, and promote ethical practices in both client care and business operations. Join us to strengthen your ethical foundation, enhance your professional reputation, and build a sustainable, values-driven doula practice.
This pre-con session is part of a 3-session bundle and is available as an add-on option to the main conference.
