Penny Bussell Stansfield

Penny Bussell Stansfield is a DONA International Advanced Birth Doula and Birth Doula trainer. She is a Certified lactation counselor, a Lamaze Certified Childbirth educator, a licensed massage therapist and a certified microbiome educator. She is the author of “Labors of Love: A Doula’s Birth Stories” and a contributor to Carole Osborne’s “Pre- and Perinatal Massage Therapy: A comprehensive guide to prenatal, labor and postpartum practice”. She taught prenatal massage nationwide at graduate level. She has been a DONA International Ambassador for New Jersey and Arizona and served on several DONA International Committees related to education. She is committed to improving maternity care for all and to mentoring new doulas on their journey. Originally from the UK and then France, she now lives in Arizona with her family which includes 6 grandchildren 3 of whom are 7-year-old triplets. When she is not teaching workshops, she likes to take the grandkids camping in the beautiful Arizona desert with her husband of 40 years.
