Fee Waivers

Doula Spirit Fund Fee Waivers

DONA International is pleased to offer a limited number of conference registration fee waivers for the DONA International Virtual Summit 2024. The Spirit Fund was established many years ago to offer sponsorships for doulas with financial needs to help with the expenses of attending our annual conference. The application deadline is June 30, 2024. 

People from around the world contribute to this important fund in small and large amounts. Registrants can offer a contribution as part of their registration or can click here to contribute directly.

Additionally, we raise funds for the spirit fund in other ways.  Our conference silent auction and our affiliate program with Office Depot raise funds that have been earmarked for the doula spirit fund by our Board of Directors.

LGBTQIA2S+ Fund Fee Waivers

DONA International has established a conference registration fee waiver for members who identify or serve as part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. This waiver was established using funds from sales of DONA Pride merchandise. 100% of the revenue from DONA Pride merchandise is used to fund this scholarship. The number of scholarships is dependent on available funds. The application deadline is June 30, 2024.

Continuing Education

The DONA International Summit is one way we continue to provide the highest standard of evidence-based training and education to our members. The summit qualifies as formal continuing education for doula recertification and trainer reapproval with DONA International as well as most other childbirth certification organizations. The 2024 conference will offer 20+ continuing education hours.

Lamaze International, International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA), and most other childbirth certification organizations accept DONA International contact hours for continuing education. However, it is the individual registrant’s responsibility to ascertain whether this offering meets the requirements of their certifying organization. The registrant must attend a session in its entirety to receive continuing education credit for that session.

As part of our offering to exhibitors and sponsors, we share contact lists (names and email addresses) with conference vendors. Attendees can opt out during registration if desired.

Recordings

Video and/or audio recording of any session is strictly prohibited. Professional audio recordings may become available after the conference. Your attendance at this conference indicates your willingness to be photographed, filmed or recorded and utilized by DONA International for educational and informational purposes.

Social Media

We are excited about live tweeting, Instagramming, Facebook posting, and other social media activities with #DONA2024. Remember, the goal is to provide a snippet or flavor of the session and not be a virtual session. We kindly ask that you keep this in mind as you post.

Change in Program

DONA International reserves the right to substitute or cancel speakers and/or sessions.
